How did Polite struggle defensively against Auburn? We were burned by their bigs; not their guards. Look at the stats. Outside of the BC game, Ronnie hasn't turned the ball over. Fact.

RP will be guarding Estrada and I think he rises to the occassion. If I'm wrong I will be the first to admit. Polite made things hard on GW's Bishop (a lefthanded ball dominant guard) and I think he'll do the same with Estrada.

You are correct that Polite's numbers would be even better had we converted our open looks, but you are underestimating him. He's on the rise. Not 1st team A10 but a servicable PG. Seems obvious to me.

Hoping to see less of ticket/coop/vbj together (finally coming around to this idea from @patriotchild) and more Saquan slotting in for one of them to give us more defense and more attack from the wings.

The box score PDFs on the GoMason site have plus/minus data for each game. Plus/minus for individual games can be highly misleading, but it's still fun to poke through. Ronnie was a +19 against Queens, which led the team. Dinkins was a -11. Love Dink but he ain't ready yet. This team will be as good as Ronnie is. Go Ronnie!

Their two leading scorers were 6 foot 0 guard KD Johnson (who drove Ronnie at will to score...kid cannot shoot), and Wendell Green 5 foot 11 "big man" I guess who also got to the rim over the much larger Polite.

If you are going to chirp me at least be accurate. Their guards and big man Broome killed us on offense (not burned by their bigs). If you wanted to say that their bigs killed us with their defense you would be 100% accurate but that isn't what you are saying.

check the box scores for who Auburn's two leading scorers were. The tallest of the two is 6 foot tall. Maybe you folks should fix your glasses before watching these games or we are watching different games with the box scores only backing up one of us... (hint it is not you)

Nothing personal, but your mention of Herndon reminds me of back in the early/mid '70s living in Vienna, we used to joke about Herndon kids driving their tractors to school.

How can team completely forget how to play basketball in just one year? Everyone has adjusted to our play and running circles around us and we haven’t adjusted at all. This performance just reeks of bad coaching and bad preparation. Yikes.

This program just seems to be cursed. Since coach L , Mason is where coaching dreams come to die. Unfortunately English’s coaching career may begin and end at Mason. Just piss poor.

We moved there in '66 and I stayed till '79 when I went away to grad school. Both my parents are deceased, and I haven't been back since my mom passed 5 years ago. It will always be home though.
