I've already said Boyd. And look, our bench is so thin he'd play close to 30 mpg anyway since he will be on the floor whenever Kier, Grayer and probably Mar aren't.
And just because he isn't starting, it doesn't mean he can't be a major contributor on this team. Look at Chris Fouch as an example. He started 5 games in 4 years and averaged double digits every single year there. In fact, he played close to 36 minutes a game his senior season without starting more than once all season.
Ask yourself if you'd rather have Mar playing and guarding the 5 or a competent low post player.
Also ask yourself if you want 4 of our 5 starters to keep playing 38 minutes every game?

I personally don't see Calixte starting this year barring injury. I do see him continuing to get more minutes as the season goes on, particularly if he continues his current rate of progression. Interesting though, against JMU Calixte did not really take any starter's minutes. Seems like he took minutes away from AJ.
It may be unorthodox, but I think our offense benefits from having Mar at the 5. Bigs so far this season can't keep up with him on the perimeter, and our most effective play seems to be isolating him to drive against the other team's 5.
Maybe someone has more insight into this, but it seems to me that Paulsen is being very intentional about the timing of his rotations this year. Seems like there has been a very specific pattern of substitutions that he has been following, and ~30 minutes from our bench is what we can expect. That is to say, I think Paulsen has his plan for the rotations and it would take something significant to change that up.
