Is there anything we can do to get Hewitt fired? I want him to go so bad but I feel so helpless. So depressed about this program's current state and direction. And the worse thing is there is NOTHING I can do about it. Not enough people care enough about GMU basketball to hold anyone accountable for anything.

Unfortunately, Chank it's about money. If you have a rich uncle who could write a $2M check that agreed with our viewpoint, I'm sure we could be heard. If we had someone who could pay that buyout, we'd be heard.

I've never been a Hewitt rah-rah guy, but I think our issues go beyond scheme. The people who just blame him so they can feel better are missing the bigger picture. Like GS said, we have too many players who just don't seem to care. Part of me is just resigned to the fact that he's here until a change is made, so the only temporary solution is for the players to play better.

Why is that anytime someone brings up some fault with the players it immediately gets turned around to Hewitt. I never said Hewitt was good, but you cant blame Hewitt for Sherrod traveling and the charging all in the games first 2 minutes. Our coach is suspect for sure but so are our players.

I'm just bitter. Very bitter.

Well it will get better one way or the other Lawdog. Mason has advanced in so many other areas - especially with a larger on campus community - there is a care for the hoops team. We will just need to see how it works out.

I hear you, but if the coach wasn't stubborn and switched to a strategy that worked these mistakes would not be as big. Hewitt's GTech teams were known for sloppiness and that's what we're getting.

With A-10's NCAA payout structure, we're going to be leaving a heck of a lot more money on the table keeping Hewitt and wallowing in mediocrity.
