Not long after making their re-appearance on the bubble, the Patriots beat St. Joseph's on Saturday to advance to the A-10 title game. The win boosted the Patriots' odds of making the NCAA tourney from 25% to 39% in the ESPN forecast. Realistically, the Patriots remain a longshot for an at-large nod, however, as they have won only four games against BPI top-100 foes (none vs. the top 50) while suffering four losses to teams outside the top 100. With a résumé that sits outside the top 50 in WAB/SOR and is outside the top 70 in NET, George Mason still probably needs to upset vcu in the conference title game on Sunday to make the field of 68.
