OK, we hit a ton of free throws tonight, I have a feeling we hit 40% of our 3's tomorrow. We are well overdue for a breakout from that shooting area.

"When both were members of the Colonial Athletic Association, the Rams ousted the Patriots five times over six years at Richmond Coliseum, a streak that ended in 2012 when vcu dashed for the A-10"

I had blocked this from memory as much as possible. God I hate that team and their home court advantage. Thankfully we're finally on a neutral court.

I hope that we can begin returning the favor tomorrow.

No one from these teams has that history. But you gotta figure our guys are sick of losing.

We were only a couple of plays out of it last time. Hold onto the ball and shoot 33% from three and this will be winnable.

Ahhh it's getting like the olden days.

This game reminds me of the quote, "they're bigger than us, they're faster than us...but we're slower". We'll have to play our best game of the season to beat these guys, but i'm hoping today is the day.

This is going to be a tough one. vcu is a well rested senior laded group and Mason is now facing the task of 2 games in 2 days. Mason is going to have to figure out a way to control Tillman on the glass and move the ball against vcu's pressure a lot better than they did in Richmond.

That said, its a REAL neutral court, Mason has nothing to lose. I hope that Paulsen can throw a few defensive wrinkles into play to help adjust from the first two games. Its going to take a lot for them to get this win. At least the refs won't be somewhat biased like they always are in Richmond.

Regardless, a 20 win season for this group, a win in the A10 tournament it hit all the checkmarks I wanted for the season. 2-4 game improvement, .500+ in conference and overall, and an A10 tournament win, anything above and beyond is gravy at this point.

For those in Arlington, few of us are gathering at Carpool. vcu fans are going to Applebees, so don't go there.

The fact we're even talking about beating vcu after the Virus set the program back 20 years says a lot. Give Paulsen an extension yesterday!

Edit: Don't *give* him an extension. He's *earned* an extension!

This is a bad matchup for us. However, there is something to be said for a team who has already played a game in a tourney. Look no further than TCU over KU yesterday. Some of the comments coming out after that game were that TCU felt comfortable in the arena having already played a game there and that nobody gave them a shot so they had nothing to lose. Sounds familiar...

The refs need to call the game the way they did against Fordham in the first half and force vcu to back off with all their hand checking crap.

GMU needs to get loose from 3.

Consider vcu's best win was Dayton and if you take those lucky/close wins (ODU, MTSU, STBON, GW) away from their schedule, they have a barely 20 win season which is right where we are.

Thursday night win was a huge confidence boost, I say we send vcu packing tonight.

76-70 Mason!

I was just talking to a co-worker about that this morning. I feel like every time we play vcu, the refs let them play their aggressive style of defense and let them get away with shoves, reach ins and elbow pushes where as any other game, those plays are normally called for the foul.

Jalen was the only big to play yesterday. Will that be the same case again today?
