Zach has had a rough go of it the past 6-7 games. He's scored 5 pts in the last ~120 minutes. Is 1-11 from deep during this cold streak. Seems like a good kid, but can't afford to give him more than 10 mins per game at this point.
Hasn't scored more than 1 basket in a game in a month. His +/- against Richmond was -10 (lowest on team) in only 11 minutes. Tough stretch for him since his explosion vs Bonnies.
Despite a poor shooting night, Woody was +12, highest on team. Probably his defense is responsible? Was he the one guarding Neskovic (was Spider's leading scorer going into the game) who also had a poor night from the field?

Everyone seems to think vcu isn’t even safe, they are in the 30’s. It’s a bogus system now. Losses need to matter a lot more than they do. Just because you play a good team and lose shouldn’t be more valuable than beating an average or bad team.
Going on the road used to matter more than it does now too. I also remember when a really bad OOC SOS left Virginia Tech out of the tournament.

VA tech was not the ‘traditional basketball school’ and new to hoops i think they did finally figured out the system and went dancing a few times after. It did take them a while to figure out the game, I’m sure the acc helped them with it.
That’s where the A10 really needs to figure out how to maximize their scheduling and maybe to a degree it’s impossible if no one is willing to play them. It’s become even harder to figure out who will be good year to year in the transfer portal. I’m sure most did not figure Mason to have this type of year outside Fairfax.
Playing even the top 1-2 from lower conferences would have helped but how do you predict that ahead of teams signing recruits and predicting the future?
I wonder if there is a way to crack the system? Or it’s a full proof way to protect the big 4 with their 20 team conferences.

Yea, would love to schedule a consistently good opponent that's not far away that's not in the ACC or SEC.
Few that come to mind are Cincy, Xavier, Seton Hall, Memphis, would be a great opponent for both programs and have high attendance.
