As it stands now, Mason would have to get thru GW or St.Bonnie in the quarters, the semi's could be URI, SLU or Dayton.

Mason could easily lose to any of those teams before the final.

I'm a realist.

Per Kenpom, Mason dropped 25 spots to #87 due to continually crappy offense! It's dropped to #216 in offensive efficiency.

That's not going to get done.. with or without the double bye.

My hope the Team is not looking past the 1st 2 games to the finals.

Looks like Dayton has now clinched the #3 seed. So it looks like URI, St. Joe's and SLU are battling it out for #4 and a potential battle in the semis with vcu.

1) GMU over Richmond nets a A-10 Regular Season Championship with vcu
2) Loyola-Chicago win over UMass nets them a #4 seed in the A-10 Tourney

His point stands, even as the 2 seed we have a difficult path. But I think that is pretty typical when you have a double bye and all the “easy” teams have been eliminated already.

I think SJU and vcu are the toughest matchups for us, so if they are both in the other side of the bracket, then we get the best possible scenario.

Yup, one thing at a time. Our first banner since joining the A10 over a DECADE ago is a big freaking deal, without needing to state the obvious that there's still really challenging work to do in the A10T.

As frustrating as it is to watch our offense be among the most inefficient in the country, and as frustrating as it is to have had a legit chance at the 1 seed and blowing it, if we win today this season was a massive success. That's all I'm looking at right now. I'll think about the rest tomorrow. I kind of hope our team is looking at it the same way.
