I wish Mar could have gotten 3-5 minutes. Maybe he can help in the tournament but a little more game experience would have been good.

We have to be honest, being able to blow out crappy teams and only being truly out of a few A10 games IS improvement. Big improvement. But it's also the worst A10 competition we've probably ever played. Is the improvement for real, or are we right back where we started in an improved A10 next year?

I truly can't tell how I feel about this coaching staff but they've earned another year of wait-and-see. Man, I hope it pays off.

Also, commentators repeatedly mentioning Kier is top A10 D-Rebounder. That's impressive considering how much his rebounding seemed to cool off in the second half of the season. I said a few weeks ago we are going to hear he has been playing hurt since about A10 game 9 or 10, and I still don't think I'm wrong.

Maybe, but could be other teams started defending him tighter or it is mental.

Good win with solid play to close out the regular season.

Stellar showing of Mason fans!

Somehow a couple of their fans thought rubbing in the vcu loss to my wife and I while we were up 21 was going to upset us.

Gotta Agree.

Lat year 5th place equaled 9 wins
This year 5th place equals 11 wins
Next Year, 5th place finish might have us at a very outside chance of getting an at large based on everyone's prediction on how improved theA10 will be.

I think we’ll be hearing about injuries across the board with this team. Otis, Reuter, Boyd, Kier...

I realize we were playing a really bad team, but we still did a lot of good things today that were about us and not them. One, I loved that our offense thrived against their regular zone, their 1-3-1 and their man-to-man. Our ball rotation was great, we took higher-percentage shots, and guys like Greene, Hartwell, Otis and Miller were able to get clean looks and knock down shots from deep.

Two, we saw how much more productive our offense is when we aren't trying to run everything through Reuter. Calixte has a knack of posting up when he should and hiding along the baseline when he isn't. That opened up the lane significantly more for our guards to either drive or set up inside the arc for mid-range jumpers.

Great bounce back as these kids seem to be grinding. Good Win and needed that to prepare mentally for the Tourney.

Just got back from Foggy Bottom. Great time before the game with Old Man and MasonScott. Good food and drinks at Tonic. Went with low expectations and was delighted to see an easy win, albeit against a really bad team. GW fans next to me were talking about how good we were and how highly skilled our players were. I almost lost my lunch but it was nice to hear. Good time with Sleeperpick after the game at Tonic. I know under DP the best we'll be is average, but today, much to my dismay means I'll probably sign up for next year even though my brain says not to. Sigh. Time will tell. But, a good way to close out an otherwise disappointing season. And now for the feats of strength in the A10 tourney.

Finally winning at GW is big, can't have a rivalry if your rival doesn't believe there's a chance they could lose. Another milestone checked off.

I agree in theory but the eye test (granted, from a TV screen) in several games said his positioning for rebounds was good but the elevation wasn't. The kind of foot injury that's not that bad, but you're hesitant to come down hard on it? I think his hot steak offensively was helped by sneaking up on people, and his cool-off came from no longer being able to do so. But there was a visual difference in his aggressive-ness on drives and the aforementioned change in "rebounding hops."

I also fully accept I may have no idea what I'm talking about.
