10/16 from the line and 9/26 from deep. And we won by 18. I’d gladly take those numbers if we win by 18.
URI: 29% fg%; 21% from 3. Some good defense on a team that is 4th in the conference in effective fg %. (Actually, down to 7th after tonight's game!)

Admittedly, URI looked awful offensively tonight and Green (who killed us at EBA) shot poorly and looked to have knee issues.

Oh don't get me wrong, I' happy with the win, and the margin, but those open air-ball 3's were baaaaddd...

And against a team that brings their offense, whicy Rhody did not tonight, you're in a much tighter battle.

It was his ankle. Remarkable that David Green played thru that pain in his ankle. Its unheard of to see a top player do that. I aint sayn no names, but they would be calling an ambulance.

Understand, Ronny was 0-6 tonight from deep. He had some nice drives, but had one of those air balls.

Nobody ever talks defense here. Yeah Rhodey was bad, but we were really good on D. Really good.

Refs did let 'em play a bit, but man, we did just about everything right defensively.
Yeah I’m with you on this point. Our defense looked a lot crisper, moved better and our rotations were not late.

they didn’t get many open looks either. Now some of it was their lack of interest and just throwing the ball wildly at the basket, but we did look like we knew what we were doing.

I'm really happy with how connected the team looked on both ends of the court. Pretty much Rhody's only open shots were because they did something clever, not because we got lazy. And very little over-dribbling on offense, either. Sure, there's plenty of stuff to improve, and maybe it's easier to execute against the dead corpse of Rhode Island, but I'm much more optimistic about the rest of the season now.

The announcers (as bad as they were otherwise) kept pointing out how crisp Mason’s passing was. They kept mentioning on some possessions that no one was holding the ball for more than a couple of seconds at a time. That was really forcing Rhody to cover a lot of ground on defense and tiring them out.

Obviously that wasn’t he case when Hall was out there. Not a judgement on Hall, just an observation.

Agreed, because it’s possible for 2 things to be true at once (even in the disagreeable world we currently inhabit), Key is an exceptional talent but our offense flows better and the ball moves much more crisply without him.

That said, against a good team we need to be better about finishing scoring opportunities. Missed a bunch of very clean looks last night or the score would’ve been even more lopsided.
