I like Boyd's more. It's the biggest breath of fresh air for Mason BBall in years. Sherrod's was absolutely amazing, but there's something about beating vcu in Richmond that is just special. Especially considering where we've been the past 6 years, and where I think we're heading.

Boyd is clutch! He is tough! He is the type of guy who get Mason back to the big dance. He's a Paulsen type player.

I love watching guys like Boyd. He's the type of player that would make me tune to watch Mason games on a regular basis.

After seeing this douche and talking to a buddy who is a huge fan of vcu(even though he didn’t go there) I realize why we aren’t considered a rival in their eyes. My buddy explained to me that most of their fanbase jumped on the bandwagon after the Final 4. We haven’t been competitive the past 6 years and their fans weren’t fans when we were a true rival to them.
Things are headed in the right direction for us and hopefully we start dominating them. I expect us to beat them twice next season.

Watched the game again this morning - was able to really enjoy it for the first time because I was busy pacing and trying to breathe the first time.

Was impressed with how much everyone contributed over the last few minutes to get the win. I think everyone on the floor over the last few minutes contributed to the win - Otis’s long three, Grayer’s baseline drive and defense on the turnover... basically everyone played a part.

Didn’t see that Greg was starting to go on the floor after the tip in and someone on staff got him back on the bench. It looks like he then got an earful from DP. Too funny.

Never noticed that vcu decided to show the senior tribute video after the game and made the players stay out and watch. I guess they didn’t think that one through and/or didn’t think we had much of a shot at getting the win. Love it!

I noticed that, too, and it is an understatement to say he got an earful from Paulsen. Simpkins first pulled him off the court, and then while he was sitting down DP got right in his face and started screaming. It appeared extreme at first, but imagine if we had lost that game because the ref called a technical for a player running on the court.

To me all they do is play the same loud noises over and over again. Same crap was played with the stripper.

They were in a different league even in their street clothes compared to any other team present.

I prefer my female dancers to be professionals....so kudos to vcu for investing in the dance team program.
