Maybe they could get excited to go watch … George Mason????Classes were in session tonight, walked through campus before the game and there were a lot of folks out. Tough to get people excited to go watch Stony Brook.
Interesting, that is what I paid as fees for a complimentary Veterans Day ticket. Maybe another veteran got one and then could not make it. Also, it made my day that the Army ROTC repelled from the rafters and delivered the ball to the ref. Back in the day this was a regular thing!I went to the Howard-Dillard game at noon today and saw something similar
I assume that there were no classes held on Veterans Day
and this was the first regular season home game
Complete band was not there - including musicians and twirlers/dance team
Student attendance was very low at tipoff and by half-time was 1/2 of a regular season normal game
Luckily the cheerleaders and dance team was there in full force
BTW OSE Okojie is still running with the 2nd team
I did not choose this game as part of my 10 pack voucher games
but found a ticket on stub hub for $6.32

Thanks! You beat me to it!...and Haynes' didn't once fall down and go BOOM.
I agree, Emejuru over Haynes at this point.Overall, inferior opponent but the team still had to play and execute. Much better outside shooting tonite and 100 percent better ball movement than first two games. I do not think Newton or Haynes should start. KD and Emejuru should based on performance .They both are better players at this point. Anderson comes off bench as 6th man. the crowd was small but its Monday, Section 130 represented.
Emejuru should start..Haynes has absolutely no lateral quickness right now..he struggles defending the pick and roll. What I’m going to guess on the current starting lineup.
O’Connor over KD because O’Connor is a more dangerous 3-point shooter and you can’t start KD, Billups, Haynes, and Newton all together.
Newton over Anderson because of his defense and rebounding right now. He’s largely the reason why we came out shooting cold because he missed two wide open 3s he should have buried but he also drew some fouls and kept Stony Brook off balance with his length and quickness
Haynes over Emejuru because Haynes is more solid with the ball in his hands at the top of the key. And has a better one-on-one set of skills when posting up. Emejuru is obviously huge and more athletic and his picks and roll game tonight against a smaller team was chefs kiss.
My hope is KD and Anderson eventually win Skinn’s trust and we get KD, Billups, Maddox, Anderson, Haynes as our starting 5 and biggest minutes getters. I like O’Connor for 6th man of the year award in that scenario. If I can see Emejuru doing more of the dirty work of being a pivot man in the high and low post I’d also like to see him starting eventually.
Absolutely. He's a better rebounder and can post up, face up put it on the deck..He a has complete offensive arsenal..he needs to touch the ball alot in the flow of the offense..not just a spot up shooter..look at his portal tape!I think Anderson should start over Newton. Brick city with Newton bc of bad mechanics. Anderson's defense is not that much worse. 46% 3pt shooter??? Cmon
He got very sick and he is getting back into game shape per Tony at the presser last night.Anyone know why we have not seen Austin Ball in a game? Is he dealing with some kind of injury or is it something else?
IIRC, 4 of his 5 threes splashed right through the net. I also find it maddening when Woody jacks up threes, but after missing his first two, for the rest of the game when he was presented with another opportunity to launch another 3, he put the ball on the floor and attacked the rim.Always nice to have a buy game and easy win. Nice to see us light up from deep and dominate a team like that as we should on both ends.
Nice to see Anderson have his first good game and everyone else chip in nicely as usual.
and KD seemed to have fixed his shoe lace issue. didn't see him having to tie them....and Haynes' didn't once fall down and go BOOM.
I believe I saw him tying it twice, once while the team was bringing the ball upcourt.and KD seemed to have fixed his shoe lace issue. didn't see him having to tie them.
