Game 29: AT La Salle University, Saturday, February 27th, 2 PM, NO TV

Washingtonian

Hall of Famer
La Salle comes in with a 6-20 record/2-13 A-10. They beat Towson on opening day by a score of 78-76. They lost to Penn in game 3 by a score of 80-64. Fordham beat La Salle on Wed. night by a score of 56-53.

Their schedule is here: http://goexplorers.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball

Stats are here: http://goexplorers.com/cumestats.aspx?path=mbball&year=2015

Jordan Price leads the team averaging 18.7 PPG/5.3 RPG. Cleon Roberts is averaging 12.3 PPG. Tony Washington is averaging 7.2 RPG.

Interesting tidbit, they had their homecoming on game 1 (which was a Saturday afternoon), so maybe this is something Mason should look into in future seasons.

Discuss.

Will we let down after the big win last night? I don't think so. GMU 73 - La Salle 65.

I was thinking the same thing. I think a slow first half (gonna be hard to match the intensity of last night) but Mason will be able to pull it out in the end.

After beating Davidson and then losing at home to Nelly and the Saint Lunatics, color me pessimistic about a road game after a big win for GMU.

Heading to Philly for this one, and really looking forward to it after last night.

La Salle did beat two very good teams at home in Dayton and St. Bonaventure. However, a poster on the La Salle boards after the Fordham loss mentioned that they struggle against bigger teams. The Flyers and Bonnies aren't bigger than La Salle, but Mason is. I think DP will have the team well prepared for this one.

We have a good contingent heading up to Philly on Friday. As far as the game goes, hesitant about a let down performance. LaSalle doesn't concern me outside of Price, but how we start off playing does.

You guys need to start believing in this team. We can beat anyone when we play like Shevon and Jalen did last night and good TEAM basketball. Not to mention one of our worst free throw shooting nights all season and Moore still not 100%, we could of won by 15-20 last night. The kids are coming together and are buying in.... so should us all! We are light years ahead of where we were early in A-10 play and the kids seem to be tired of losing so they are giving their all. Stay positive..... good things happen when you have optimistic outlooks.

Frankly I hope we kick the crap out of these pansies on Saturday. Lets freaking go!!!!

I'll be in Philly to root my boys on!!

Gotta beat La Salle to have any chance at 10th and avoid the PIG, which would be a great accomplishment for this team.

Gotta beat La Salle because they suck donkey balls, and we're not losing to a team that sucks donkey balls less than 72 hours after beating one of the best teams in our league.

Gotta beat La Salle. That is all.

I'm too lazy to look this up, so anybody know where we can stream it free or even for a fee? The wife is dragging the kids to some Home Show at the Dulles Expo Center, so my afternoon is now free.

God I would pay so much money to have homecoming on Game 1 in 40 or 50 degree early November weather. Two weeks ago was brutal standing in that parking lot trying to enjoy myself.

Was just checking out La Salle boards. Their president was on their boards to talk about a $250,000 gift to the men's basketball program. Kinda cool that the prez would go on the bball message boards. She also said that today's game is nearly sold out. Kinda surprising - I guess they've got prospective students and their families going.
