Looks to me that it is just poor wording/implementation. I believe the charge is for the tickets. In order to get autographs, you would have to have purchased tickets to be in the arena.

Except the TicketOverlord site wouldn’t allow me to choose or purchase seats online last week, so I gave up and picked up the two extra I needed in person at the box office before the Rhode Island game. Conveniently, they could not apply the alumni discount code for me there. So, the TicketOverlord system got its “convenience charge” after all.
