Mason is tied with Dayton in A10 standings at 5-7 and a game ahead of La Salle at 4-8. This week’s games have big implications for how the final A10 standings are going to shake out, and Mason isn’t favored by Kenpom in either of them.

One thing to know about Dayton is that they’re clearly underachieving relative to their talent level – Josh Cunningham is in the conversation for All A10 honors and reminds me a lot of Ryan Pearson – and part of that is how badly they’ve played away from home. They have only one true road win the entire season, beating Richmond at the Robins Center in early January. They won a neutral site game against Ohio in the third game of the season and otherwise have lost nine road/neutral site games, including their last four in a row. I have no idea if that holds up but if you’re looking for a reason to be hopeful, that’s it.

The Fordham loss really stings, because Mason really has a shot moving up the rankings in these next 6 games. Mason already proved they could beat St. Joseph's, UMass and Richmond. And its not like anyone should be scared of Dayton or La Salle.

I have MASN in the title, but I know of people that live in NYC that are Mason fans, so it is good info to know that they would have to pay for it (or subscribe) to the A-10 Network to watch.

I pay for the season already (the 4 month option, I think it is -- 3 or 4 months). It's worth it to get to see all the games I wouldn't living outside of the area.

Maybe, but they've never been a good defensive team, and they also just lost back to back games to GW and St. Louis (not exactly powerhouse A10 teams this year).

We can't take any team for granted (see: GW, see: Fordham, see: Duquense), but I wouldn't chalk up any of our last 6 games as automatic losses either (that includes vcu).

The average RPI of all the teams we've beaten this year: 256

Dayton is a good team desperate to make their record more resemble their RPI and will be very motivated. This would be a huge win for Mason at this point in the season. I really hope anyone that can make it out to the game do so. A win would be huge for the psyche of the team and all of us (well, most of us).

Agreed, big opportunity for the team to make a statement that they are improving and to create some separation between us and the bottom 4.
