Bummer. Really thought going in that G Mas would win. Another example, unfortunately, of a bad team finding a way to lose.

Used to feel slightly positive after games like this. Now it's just like... stl did what winners do and Jorge Masón did what loserd do. Nothing else to be said on the matter

At the end of regulation, we simply had to do whatever was necessary to stop Jett from getting to the basket.

With Evans on the bench, everyone knew their plan was to get Jett the ball on the run and send him right to the rim -- and still, we parted the Red Sea and just let him do it.

You shouldn't need a timeout at that point to know the right thing to do. A well-coached, well-prepared team just knows that somebody other than Jett has to be the one to beat you.

These losses are like getting rejected by women - not that I have experienced much of that. The losses don't even hurt any more. I'm over them in about 5 minutes. I was pissed off for at least the next day at the beginning of the year. Not so much now. Hewitt's made me stoic - almost apathetic.

Me too. After a while, I guess you just learn to protect yourself. I'm really just too bummed-out to be pissed.

Seriously man - just stop Jett in that situation. If you don't, you know he'll get within 2 feet of the basket - which of course he did. It was just like the UMass game at Fairfax when Williams was allowed to race up the court with no resistance. This team simply doesn't learn from experience under Hewitt. It's the same thing over and over again. Props to JJ for making the FT's, but I knew there was too much time on the clock for Mason not to blow it.

Who knew TOC was on the boards?...No they don't. Because teams with bad coaches find ways to lose. Besides we won't have Allen and Wright to keep us in these games. We'll have less close ones next year. These 2 and 3 point losses will be 9 and 10 point losses next year.

LOL. All these close losses turn into wins when our two best players are gone and Copes and his uncle are still with the team. Not buying it.

The quote from Hewitt on GoMason about how "what happened in the last game won't carry over to the next" bull*** is just that, bull****. Everyone in their right mind new Rob Loe was going to shoot that ball at the top of the key from 3 yet we continued to leave him wide open. He single handedly beat us in St. Louis yet Hewitt is incompetent enough to let the exact same thing happen again in OT. I credit the players, especially Sherrod, for keeping this game close throughout, but come on, how the hell do you lose to the same team in the exact same fashion twice in just a few weeks time.

Hewitt and Co. have to go. It's literally that simple. Utter incompetence.

Good for St. Louis...why not try the exact same thing as last game in OT? We didn't stop Rob Loe from taking wide open three's last time, why would we stop him this time around? It doesn't take a basketball genius to remind his team of what happened last time around, and of who they should pay attention to in crucial situations. End of regulation: Jett drives 3/4 of the floor right to the hoop. OT: Rob Loe drains wide open threes.

I'm depressed but why is everyone worried about 14-15 given the solid play of Moore and Jenkins? I think we'll make a postseason tourney next year!
