Hall of Famer
Nice win over a La Salle team coming in with a four game winning streak. A third loss in a row would have started some panic again.
We scored 84. That's good offense, especially considering we only took 10 threes.
Kicked their butts on the glass.
Good win and Reuter only did two things that made shake my head.
Agree with most of what you said. I kinda appreciate that Kier doesn’t force things though. You see what happens when Otis forces it.Bryan and Tyler Byrum hopped behind the mic for a postgame pod. Love this addition to GK's coverage:

Some thoughts from me:
- Echo everything that's been said about doubling the post. It's fine as a base strategy, but there are matchups where it's absolutely not necessary and this was one of them. We got burned by the same thing last year in the Fordham loss - an outside-in team got hot from 3 because we kept doubling the post for no gosh darn reason.
- I came away impressed with La Salle. They've got shooting and athletes. Haven't been able to watch them a lot so I didn't really know what to expect. They can go big, they put a few small lineups out there, they play hard, and they're well coached.
- Reuter looked great. I'm just as surprised by his turnaround as everyone else, but he's been fantastic recently. I still think Dave was on PCP or something when he called him a potential top five player, but what we're seeing isn't an accident.
- Getting ahead of myself, but next year is gonna be FUN with a pass-first point guard in Hartwell surrounded by guys who play as well off the ball as Miller, Javon, and JDS.
- Javon continues evolving. Team needed him to fill it up and that's exactly what he did. He's been tremendous going at the rim recently, which really propels him from good to great. Had a little eurostep move today that we've never seen from him before.
- Kier needs to commit to like, four mid range jumpers in the first half and then feel it out from there. He's got that light feathery touch but sometimes tries to drive against guys that are much bigger.
- Ed Croswell was the single best offensive rebounder in the country coming into this game and we held him to one. The front line did a great job against him.
Final verdict: let's not fire Paulsen just yet. I've come to like the guy.
What makes you so sure? I’m not saying he won’t, but I don’t think he’s won the job just yet. I’m looking through his stats to try and see what I’m missing. He has a nice assist-to-turnover ratio, but he only gets 1 assist about every 10 minutes. I don’t think he’s as good a creator as others have suggested. His career high is 5 points. For assists, it’s 3. He’s gotten to the line once, and missed both free throws.Oh Hartwell is starting next year. You can book that.

Maybe there are some advanced metrics I am missing?
Got to be one of the worst 3 pts defensive teams in Division I basketball...
Jamal is a terrific on-ball defender and an underrated shooter, but I agree it’s far from a conclusion that he steps right into Otis’ shoes.
In fact, if the staff wants Mar and Miller on the floor at the same time with Reuter, I’d say there’s almost no chance Hartwell starts — barring injury, Kier and Greene are going to be in the lineup. You can book that.
