...I think we missed a bunch of shots today that we normally make.
For this, I blame the member of this forum who summoned Jobu (I won't call you out, you know who you are). Whoever did this is sorely lacking voodoo IQ.

Did you offer Jobu a dead chicken? You can't invoke the powers of Jobu and not offer him a dead chicken! EVERYONE knows that!! Such an incredible failure makes for some bad ju-ju...VERY bad ju-ju. And we got it, just as we deserved.

I just went back and looked at that multi-post thing. Really weird. I have no clue how that happened. Seriously. Unless I was typing too fast and hit the wrong buttons.

Okay, this is weird, everytime I try to reply I get strange stuff on my phone popping up. So maybe that was what caused the multi-post thing. I know I've screwed up from time to time, but this really does seem to be a gremlin. With my phone.

And no, tblack33 didn't literally say he wished I was dead, but that's generally what happens when you unplug the oxygen tank.

And lastly tblack33, if you no longer care about my opinion, I suggest you either block, don't read, or don't respond.
You are now blocked...in case none of these options suit you.

"This was not our best game," head coach Kim English said. "I thought Loyola played really hard. We battled back to make it a game and had some opportunities to take over the game. We didn't. A bounce of the ball or blow of the whistle went in a different direction. We'll watch it, learn from it and see how we can keep getting better."
Have you not yet learned from losing in every way possible?

When a team's three starting guards combine to shoot 6 – 29, or 20.7% then they're going to lose. Only way to fix this is to take and make better shots or find someone else at that moment on the court who can. Keep working on it. I don't think things will get any worse. Problem is we're close, and it's eating everyone alive.

please report posts in the future If you feel they are offensive. Also maybe @HoopsAdmin can help troubleshoot.

anyway, carry on. That was a real fart noise of a game. Where was Malik late in second half? The adjustments we made at the end of half 1 were good but then we went away from it.

loyola plays well at home, but we had no business losing like that today. For the first or not many times I felt we were outcoached.

The few Mason fans who post on Twitter are pissed off. I think this team is another one and done in the A10T. I want to believe in Coach English and staff but damn it‘s getting harder to watch this team just continue to play dumb basketball game after game. I‘m not in as long as a lot of you are following this team but I’ve snapped photos for ten seasons and just want to see a Mason team hang a banner once.
I hear you man. We are all really tired of losing. We should be beyond games like this, although the entire league is crazy this year. I also think Loyola has improved and I’m sure worked hard after losing in Fairfax. Hats off to valentine for a competent game plan against Oduro and defensively. We had really no answer.

Nahh… team clearly lost on purpose bc they don’t want to see a cut out board of swim mom with boobie tassels. Some of our players need to get their marbles back.

Holding onto 3 timeouts until the final 3 minutes also made no sense to me when we had it at 2 multiple times.
Weak.
Time for us to face facts....We're way closer to the bottom of this league then we are to the top. It's a long way up.
With VBJ's injury - if it's a broken wrist is a nail in our coffin. We cannot run the table during the A10 tourney without VBJ so I'm now inclined to turn the reigns over to the freshmen and look to next year.

Watched game at NY State casino. Took GMU to cover small spread and lost. Took Larranaga to cover and won. Yay.

Given the opponent and the point in time in the conference schedule, this game was probably the worst loss of the season (particularly coming off the win vs. UMass).

I’m fine running this nba offense when we are clearly the superior team.
But when we are on equal playing field, we need to scheme and get easy baskets. I still don’t know why mason is plagued with the inability to run an inbounds play.

Home vs GW and St. Joe’s were both worse IMO. Loyola just took Dayton to OT in Ohio … they’re better than the record looks.

Choking away winnable games at St Louis, Bonnie, GW, and St Joes unfortunately left zero room for error, so I have to agree that the Loyola loss is the worst yet just because it might mark the point of no return for salvaging the season.

Except it doesn’t because the A-10 is so meh. Third place is separated from 12th by two games. Still time to go up or down in the standings.

The A10 isn't very strong this year and therefore it's more than possible the Patriots could run the table. I agree it seems highly unlikely, particularly if VBJ's injury is acute.

I find myself going back and forth - between optimism and despair. I was disheartened with our start to the year. I thought after the URI and SJU games Coop was finding his rhythm, and after his slow start, over the past 10-11 games Oduro was looking like the Oduro from last year. And both Dinkins and Henry were stepping up, and with Ticket about to return...

So I thought we were turning the corner and there were reasons to still be hopeful. But's also possible that the team's weaknesses are sufficient enough that they cannot be overcome, and getting bounced out of the A10 tourney one day 1 is the most likely scenario.

The loss to Loyola and VBJ's injury really stings.

Completely normal feelings and pretty much straight on. I'm hoping for some "good basketball" since its February and this is when most teams peak but we'll see if we come anywhere close. I thought maybe we would sneak a "surprising win" in but all we have had are the "surprising/disappointing losses".

We'll have to see what Bailey's injury is, and how the team performs the rest of the month since there are several winnable games on the schedule, at least in our own minds. Its been a disappointing year to say the least but hopefully we will see some good growth in places as the season comes to a close.

Unfortunately, we're the "winnable" games on everyone else's schedule at this point. My hope continues to be that JF and DD can continue to get minutes and grow so that they come into next year ready to perform from Day 1.
