It’ll be a tough game, nice to have a competitive Mason back (I grew up here during the F4 run and cheered for you guys pretty hard).

I’m thankful Hardee’s recently went to $15/hr so I could afford two tickets and bring my son. They even gave me the night shift tonight so we could come.

Stopping at my VFW post for some brews and hoping for a good game.

Oh oops, their fans don’t consider us our rival. We just have that cute nickname Goomoo and they talk about how they are so much better than us etc. Blah blah blah.

Anyway, should be a fun game. It’s homecoming, it’s vcu. Our guys will be jacked up as will hopefully at least 6000 fans.

The good news is that if we break their press we like to run and get layups and open 3s. Let’s hope we get lots of easy buckets and they struggle to score on offense.

It’s never easy against them but its always simple. Limit turnovers and easy layups for them, make them score in the half court. Oduro can expect to be doubled down low so I hope he can swing the ball to get some open 3s. Hopefully Gaines can also come out of his mini slump.

Hoping for a fun and injury free game, also...feel free to keep @duncanlamb full time. We'll take him on alternating weekends. We'll pick him up at the Chick-fil-A near Fourmile Fork as that is the halfway point between RVa and Fairfax. Make sure he has clean underwear and his prescription foot powder.

Refs calling it tight so far which is awesome for us and what they should do. If you don’t call them early, VVU will start doing it on every play and force the refs either to ignore the constant hand-checks or insert themselves into every play.

No zone defense this half and hopefully vcu will miss a few free throws. They were 10/10. Our zone gave up an easy 5 points or so. Of course it doesn’t matter what defense we play if we don’t play it well which is exactly what happened in half 1.
