No matter how well we play for spurts or a half, I just always know the worst is yet to come. Without fail, every time we follow up good ball....with terrible ball. That's been a staple of Hewitt's tenure here.

I wonder what would happen if the team just goes into the lockerroom at half time themselves and Hewitt isn't allowed to be in the same room or talk to them. Literally whenever he even starts to touch the game, it just crumbles. Wish we didn't have to deal with this for much longer.....

What I fail to understand is, how did he manage to become a head coach at the D1 level with so many deficiencies? Not every coach is an X and Os guy but the ability to manage and utilize your staff to implement a system and identity is essential. He hasn't been able to do either, every game looks like a pickup game in the gym or street ball at best.

My best bet is he has always recruited well. Getting superior players in, that he was able to ride and be taken to heights of one deep run to the NC. From that point on, who could overlook the aura of a coach who has been to a National Championsip game?

Everybody in college basketball but Tom O Connor that is.....

Hewitt was inexcusable tonight.

His ridiculous 4 out offense failed to literally even once in the second half accomplish one simple post entry pass.

OMG!! Cox stole the ball from Thompson 25 feet from the basket! That's where we want our guy with a four inch height advantage!!!!

As well as Corey played and in many ways Patrick, does anyone in their right mind think our guards score enough to take out vcu?

Well, maybe if vcu is missing five guys in Richmond we will lose within the spread.

Hewitt absolutely sucks as a coach.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if he sees the writing on the wall and Hewitt checks out and this is just another stop where everybody misunderstands his genius and the players just can't do what he wants.....

Yes, but what the hell happened at Sienna. How was he able to obtain success there? We can't say due to a weaker conference because he flopped in the CAA. I heard he had good assistants but he seems like the type to only have assistants on the payroll and not actually use them. Hence why we rarely ever see them do anything during the game.

.

My tipping point is usually when the opposing team catches up to us and takes the lead after we either jump out to a big lead or suppress them for awhile. Once they tie it up/take the lead, its over.

If GMU is on the verge of losing on Saturday, I'm going to have a hard time not yelling "How much do you make Hewitt?" I'm right next to the bench. I'll feel embarrassed about it - don't like making a spectacle of myself and as a fan, even feel bad for the person I'm yelling at.

I'm not a rich man, but I'd gladly donate $200 to GMU if I knew Hewitt was gone.

Thoughts on what the the post game excuses from Hewitt will be? Moore was out... they took jump shots even though I told them not to but they didn't hear me... its the players fault ... blah blah blah

Wow - out rebounded vcu 43-27. Couldn't win as we turned the ball over 18 time. GMU bball is so f'ed up under the current coaches. FIRE HEWITT!

Thing that makes me sick about all the vcu fans is that I know they'd be rooting Duke or some other blue blood if they were in the same shoes as Mason fans. Who am I kidding, would love if GMU were good enough to gain band wagoners.
