What we learned:
1) we have an awful halfcourt offense. When we are forced to run in the halfcourt, we can't get open looks or easy baskets to save our life. Part of the problem is we can't shoot (again), which makes defending us really easy to defend, but part of it is a lack of complexity, which also makes us easy to defend.
2) We have a mediocre to bad half-court defense that falls asleep too often, especially at the end of halves/as the shot clock runs down. We don't seem to much better in zone than we do in man-to-man, so I don't know what the solution there is.
3) Javon Greene is one of those maddening players that does some amazing stuff and then makes some boneheaded decisions and/or kills fast breaks with a lack of concentration. Good to see Tate in his ear in the second half, hopefully he can mold something out of him.
4) The 5 is still a problem, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
5) Solution seems to be to go full press for 40 minutes and just be OK giving up the easy ones when they break our press. Run a ton of 4 guard sets and try to get as many runouts as possible, but Paulsen is way too risk averse to try that.
