These are the kinds of games that forge rivalries. I’m sure their fans are hating Billups and KD right now and thinking they got robbed. This is beautiful.

The more of these games we can get with them (especially if we are in the good side more often than not) the better, especially if both programs continue to get better and a these games start being between first place (or at least finishing top 4 or not).

I do remember JMU sellout games where the decibel meter exceeded 100…great atmosphere and games win or lose. I do hope those days are again ahead of us. Good times!

I can't remember exactly when Jalen fouled out, but Gio played a lot of tough possessions there in the final minutes of the game. I remember wondering at one point if they might put Stas in for a minute to give Gio a breather. I hope that win gives him the confidence to play with the aggression he started the season with.

Mason won..but Tony skinn had some serious questionable coaching decisions..why did he tell his team to take 3's with open lane to the basket twice. Billups and Maddux should not be settling for open 3's when the teams was shooting 18% from beyond the arc at that point? Get to the rack..

We do also have to keep in mind that BOc was a fraction of a second away of winning this in the 1st OT and if Haynes went a mediocre 4-7 from the line instead of an abysmal 2-7 we win this in regulation (I think KD also missed at least 2 crucial FTs in regulation too).

Anyway, the game played out how it played out and we were on the good side.

I liked Maddox’s shot too. A completely uncontested 3 with a chance to push the lead to 7 and effectively end the game. I’d take that every time.

My issue is with the poster suggesting that Tony made bad decisions and that’s stupid — he didn’t decide to shoot the ball, the players did.

I agree completely. And yes, even if he allegedly did say "Maddox, take that shot" you know good and well he didn't say that to Billups.

Hes mentioned that JB is a “good shooter” and is ok with him shooting. He had a wide open look late that was a good shot I felt. His mechanics always look good.
