Not to be dramatic, but this feels kind of like the biggest game we'll play all year. Winning puts us at least one, if not two games up on every team that I expect to be in the four way pile up for the last two top-four spots, with the tie breaker over all of them.

Yup, for both teams.

We win and we hold our sole position in 2nd place, a game behind Davidson. Lose, and we drop to 6th w/a stretch of tough games ahead on the schedule.

SLU wins and they're in a 2-way tie for 2nd place w/the Dayton/vcu winner and only one game behind Davidson and the chance to control their destiny. Lose and they're tied for sixth w/St. Bonaventure.

(based on current standings)

Should be a dog fight. Vegas opened w/SLU at -1.5. It's currently at a Pick 'em or Mason -1 depending on where you bet.

Speaking of standings, what happens if the URI and Duquesne games somehow are not made up? Wouldn’t they be forfeit losses since GMU was the team that was on “pause” and created the postponement?

I think it will depend on where we all are in the standings. Can't imagine if we are doing well that the league would seek to punish us. I'd bet they make them no-contests and not reschedule so long as we stay on track and meet the minimum number of conference games to be eligible.

the A-10 changed the rule before our postponement so they would be no contests... other conferences have the offending COVID team take forfeit losses.

I thought it was just a rule change to give us a chance to reschedule. . . And that if we could not work out a way to reschedule then it becomes a forfeit? Am I mistaken?

Gotta guard Jesus Jimerson at some point. Other than him incapable of missing we are playing well. Oduro forcing it a bit

Look about as out of sync as we did vs GW. Over helping and not rotating on defense. Out of position and can't box out. Just stagnant on offense and watching Oduro try to go at it alone in the post.

As far as I know you are wrong. A10 commish Bernadette overruled it
You're right. But here's the weird part: "Conference standings and championship seeding will be based on an approved formula balancing team win-loss records with total number of contests completed. If a team opts to not play the rescheduled contest, the game can be declared a forfeit by the league office."

Begs the question, what is the formula? And how badly does it penalize playing less games?
