Let me start by saying that I am beyond stoked that went in and we won. Big players made some big plays down the stretch.

However, whatever play was drawn up to end that was absolutely terrible. I’d gamble to say that it’s not in our best interest to have our 5-10 PG attempt a contested 3 over a guy a few inches taller than him at the buzzer to win it. Very little off ball movement, seemed very incoherent. But again, big players make big plays and after a terrible first half Otis threw his big old ball sack into his backpack and won that one for us.

Totally disagree. This won was structured and it was FP saying to Otis - I Trust you do this. The down side if he missed was not a loss but overtime . By running the clock down and then positioning OTis for a three pointer and hitting it - was spot on. Under Coach L - we had these convoluted plays that rarely worked. Coach L was known for not being able to draw up a clean effective play for last second play.

I really really liked this play.

In A10 play, average score is 72-63 in our favor.

A +11 is pretty damn good. Even of you say the St. Joe's game was a fluke, average score 69-64 which is also good.

REALLY needed this one as 2 out of next 3 games are top 4 teams on the road @vcu and @Dayton. And GW always plays us tough for some reason.

Agreed but we could realistically take two out of the next three and be positioned well in conference.

The fact that we don’t fold and find a way to win makes me happy.

Also, no one talking about how Reuter was really effective breaking the zone in the second half. It’s a shame we stopped looking for him for long stretches and kept settling for 3s. He might have had 15 points if we kept feeding him at the elbow.

He also had a respectable game on the defensive side.

I do understand. Are you telling me that if this was Dayton or vcu we would have come back to win?

You said "this type of game" which to me means us playing against a zone all game. Thus, your statement is far fetched unless Dayton and vcu are some sort of zone team. And dont caps vcu. They are scum.

The final play was a simple screen on the zone that freed up Otis. Should of done more of it during the game.

Noble is taller than Otis? He didn’t look it. Plus he played Otis horribly in that play and gave him way too much space. I think the idea was either Otis makes it or we go to overtime.
Exactly- just don’t give them a chance to win it in regulation

Clean simple
And effective - how many time we would
Run around and try to penetrate to the hole
Only resulting in a ball
Rimming out or a complete miss banging into the floor

Reuter has a game thats unique. Looks like Paulsen is figuring out how he can use him

Not a fan of Reuter but he deserves credit tonight. played well in the second half when he started hitting little jumpers from about 10 feet. We got bit clogged in there when Kier came back in since he was occupying that space when Reuter was sitting.

Other than the stretch of questionable threes, I thought our approach to the zone was solid all night. Fordham hit some tough shots and turned us over enough to keep us out of rhythm.

Glad we don’t have to play them again. Take it an runnnnnnnnnn.

Otis turned it waaaaay up in the second half. Credit Fordham, they hit everything they put up. Honor is going to be a pain in the a** for the next three years.

Also does anyone have the video of Kier’s steal/behind the back dribble/and-one finger roll?

I just checked the box score. I can’t believe Otis got 17 points. Real sneaky.

That play was just straight nasty. The Fordham player was pulling on his other arm too while he was going up which made it just that much more.
