As we've discussed previously, Coach Paulsen has yet to sign a D-I or JUCO transfer during his tenure here. If I'm not mistaken, Saint Joseph's & Mason are the only A10 programs with no D-I or JUCO transfers on their roster.
I hope that Coach Paulsen has not ruled out signing D-I or JUCO transfers in the future (assuming that they are academically qualified for admission and have no disciplinary issues).
Next year will be Paulsen's third year. We will have zero seniors and probably two juniors who play anything more than garbage minutes, so yes, I would say that is young.
By his fourth year, assuming all of our good young talent stays healthy and eligible and doesn't transfer, we will finally have a core of upperclassmen to carry the load augmented by sophomores and freshmen.
That's what you need to be consistently successful in a league as good as the A-10.
I get that you have zero patience and want to go from point A to Z, but that isn't how it works unless you cheat your a** off or get very lucky.
I agree (see my post earlier in the thread). This break is due to the A10 playing the conference tournament the second week in March and starting conference play in late Dec. It means each school will have one week where there is no conference game. In the past, A10 schools would schedule home games vs DI independents who were always looking for January games. But now that schools like Longwood, NJIT and Chicago St have found conference homes, they aren't available to schedule to fill in that "bye" week.Second, these long in season breaks are totally ridiculous. How can we go over a week without playing a game?? I understand a break around finals, but man we are in the heart of the season and it seems hard to get into a rhythm and makes it that much harder to shake off a loss. Shouldn't we be playing at least 2 games/week?

Announcer for LaSalle game just said Watanabe for George Mason is still there but they are still underachieving right now.....Meanwhile on CBS sports, LaSalle at home goes on a 16-2 run to take 49-40 lead over Davidson at the half.
Dayton beats Richmond 75-59.
The score is deceiving. Richmond didn't stink. Dayton did have a few good runs when they did everything right and the last one came late--turned a 5 pt game to 11 in the time it took me to check in on the LaSalle-Davidson game. Richmond is good (and LaSalle will be hard to beat even though we play them here---they already have 3 games where they've shot 60% or over for a half). It's a tough league for sure.
