Why are player's moms posting on this forum?

If she really is who she says she is, then I don't get why she wouldn't be welcome here. I mean, I don't even have a connection to the program except as a student, but people don't seem to have a problem with me posting. At least, I don't see the logic that the players' families deserve to be given a hard time because of the fact that the team isn't doing well.

For all the reasons we're seeing. Player's parents are way too emotionally involved in their children's success to look at the team objectively.

We have been fans long before they came, and will be long after they leave.

Yeah, hi, if you're going to go on the Internet and suggest that the term "color analyst" is a racial term, you're going to perhaps get a hard time.

And probably be unable to have rational discussions. Which is hard when you're emotionally all-in on one of the players anyway.

You told me you played D1 college ball and averaged 13.7 points. I do not know you....but I do know Patrick and I know how hard he works. So go ahead lie on me... feel free. I will gladly and calmly (not sure why I would be hysterical) come and introduce myself to you Saturday.

Patrick is in fact, my favorite player on the team. I am a HS fan, and watched him at PVI several times.

I have had friends meet you and tell me you are a nice person. I am sure you are.

But I can assure you without knowing Patrick that no adult male wants his mother on the Internet defending him.

Fair enough, but

1. emotionally vested isn't equal irrational
2. yeah, the "color analyst" thing was silly, but it didn't seem intentional, and not worth going to war over

You are most likely right... and my intent was not to be on here defending Patrick or anyone for that matter. I enjoy reading the different view points of the game of basketball. I do not claim and never have claimed to know a lot about the game in a technical way (which is why I enjoy reading all of the post). However, it is not easy to hear grown men call young men insulting names. As I said earlier... I cheer for the team and want them to win as a team. I would like to stop this continuous post and move on.
