Great win! Can‘t wait to hear from the “This is who we are“ and “I hope I’m wrong“ folks.
Yup I was 100% Correct! Thank you very much for pointing it out! It's amazing how commenting on A. Either don't turn ball over. B. Hit foul shots or C. Hit 3's actually proved to be correct.

GIVING DAY 2023
That was fantastic.

1) Darius Maddox. Stepped up big. 20 points 4 assists
2) Kd Johnson. Stepped up big. 9 points 2 assists
3) our defense. On point. Held Dayton to 43% from the field
4) we shot 55% from 3.
5) 15 total assists.

Offensively we got it done and was efficient. Minus that crazy last 90 seconds, we moved the ball and were solid.

Defensively we did our thing and made Dayton struggle. They did not get many good looks and got some luck when their 25 foot 3s went in. Dayton plays so slow, and it goes right into our style well. We outrebounded them 32-23.

Solid all around win. We still turned the ball over 18 times, but we did all other areas well and against that type of ball pressure it’s expected. Not much we can do except try to keep working at it.

4-1. First place. Let’s take Gw down next. Go mason!

It's unfortunate that we aren't seeing more of these types of games. What I mean is we'd be 15-3 right now (16-2 maybe?) if we played like we did tonight

This is why continuity is so important.

And I was just thinking about this with the “do you start Billups over Anderson?” question: the roles are much more clearly defined now than they were at the beginning of the season and the rotations are more predictable.
