This was such a weird comment. Is Dave really trying to save face and be PC or does he just not pay attention? Maybe he was just talking about in general Fordham has beaten teams they shouldn't in the past.

No problem theres no confusion there. My point was that him saying something to the effect of "Fordham has won games they shouldn't have" and Fordham has only 1 win all year, it seems a bit out of touch.

At this point it shouldn't surprise me what comes out of Dave's mouth.

Build up your opponent, especially if they haven't won many games and warn your guys not to overlook them and just assume you'll be able to have your way with them. I'd be surprised if ANY coach hasn't pretty much said the same thing several times a year.

Making a big deal out of it strikes me as "piling on" as all the other negative things that have been said about DP have been exhausted.

I see both sides of it and I can see where you are coming from......BUT this is DP we are talking about. I think he is trying to soften the fact that there is a very good possibility that we could lose to a team that has 2 wins and an Interim Head Coach.

Agree it is coach speak, but it is very weak coach speak when you are talking about a 1 win team it comes off sounding wrong. I criticized Hewitt for sounding that way, so I am going to be consistent and do the same for Paulsen.

I guess if I look at it from the other perspective, he is kind of admitting we suck and by cause and effect, he is admitting he is sucking at coaching our team right now. So, I’ll give him credit for admitting that. ;-)

Theres 'coach speak' and there's also being accountable. Which he has never taken responsibility for anything. Specifically, comment on how you need to do a better job of getting guys ready so they can be consistent. Its always the players fault for him it seems. If AJ is shooting 25% on two pointers then tell him he needs to do X or else he won't play. It seems this isn't happening and the progress for most of his players turns to regression. It starts at the top. F DP. He needs to go yesterday.
