Here's a thought...let Temara start the first couple of minutes a couple of times.

I appreciate the "starter" mentality...but the reality is...it's minutes not when you come into the game.

I think it'd help if Troy could throw an inning or two in the bullpen before coming into the game. Setup a basket in the tunnel and let him go at it for a few minutes haha.

I am really loving our starting lineup right now. I love how Grayer is playing/shooting with Boyd doing the dirty work down low.

I love how smart of a player Kier is. He's very smooth, reminds me of Gabe Norwood. He never seems like he makes mistakes with the ball. He does make some dumb freshman-like fouls though.

Troy will be fine, it's just going to take him some time to learn how to play most of the time with his back to the basket.

It's an adjustment for most young bigs because in HS/AAU you don't have to be all that great with your footwork. If you're 6-8 or 6-9, chances are you're facing many guys who are physically incapable of guarding you, so there's no need to develop counter moves.

The fact that Troy went to his left hand both times last night says to me he lacks confidence in his ability to go up strong and score or get fouled. He's trying to trick people at this point.

He has all the physical tools. Just needs a full offseason of work in the weight room and around the rim to start unlocking his potential.

These guys have to keep upping their game along with Temara and the others. In a long season in the A-10 there are going to be times where Moore and Livingston cannot carry the team alone.

Until those guys come along the opposing game plan should still be to smother Moore and Livingston, attack Jenkins to get fouls and make everyone else beat me.

Great win! Love being able to watch the team on TV up in NYC. One of my roommates, who knows nothing about Mason basketball, made a comment that it was "good, sound basketball to watch, fun game, exciting team". Far cry from the 4 years of eye bleeding we endured under "insert coach" here.

I'm guessing you watched on SNY. Did you lose the game with about 10 seconds left only to have a UConn women's basketball show come on? It was weird - it wasn't even 9 yet. The game was well in hand, but I'd have been furious if not.

Was watching on SNY and before 9 they cut to the post game show of a different event. Really lame and weird because it wasn't even the top of the hour. They just had to talk about UCONN women winning 90 in a row.

This is true, but that does open up some drive and kick opportunities if they're going to collapse in the paint on Moore. Boyd, Kier, Newman, Grayer, and Otis have all shown the ability to hit the 3 and if at least 2 of them are shooting well, I think it's going to be hard to shut this team's offense down.

I don't know if Jenkins will ever learn to play without picking up at least 2 cheapies, though, so that will remain an issue.

Oh he absolutely does, it's because he gets in there and spazzes out. And, he's wired funny anyhow, it seems, so it may take a while, but he's pretty graceful in his movements, so if he can just settle down a hair, I think he can be effective.
