To say Grayer is struggling with his shot would be an understatement.and from behind the arc
Saint Louis just beat GW, so yeah, unless something dramatically changes, we're looking at last place.
I think you can throw us, SLU, LaSalle, UMass and Fordham in a hat and just pick one, though.
None of those teams are any good. At least we have youth as an excuse for now.
0-2 ok. But losing by 24 and then 19 at home? Tough to swallow.
Hell, whatever money was bet on this game had to be on the Bonnie's at -3.
Pretty much agree, though Fordham has shown improvement that Mason has not.
Fordham has played one of the softest schedules in the nation.
They beat La Salle, who might just be worse than us.
So far, we have played two of the top 6-7 teams in the league. Results really aren't indicative of how we'll do against other bottom-tier teams.
We just don't have the ability to mentally withstand opponents' runs right now.
Two games in a row where we hung around but couldn't get over the hump, then ran out of gas in the final 8-10 minutes.
Missed FTs really hurt tonight. But we really need guys to step up and provide some leadership for this team -- as good as he is, it can't all fall on Otis.

Unfortunately, Mason will be playing 2 more top 7 teams in the coming week. Then - crappier teams. On the road though. Hate to be a doom and gloomer my gut tells me to be one right now though.
Hey trust me I hate losing as much as anyone. But this is the hand we've been dealt -- the guys are playing hard, the coaches are coaching hard, we're just not good enough to beat a lot of these A-10 teams right now.
For better or worse, DP needs to play the kids as much as possible. Getting them ready for the next 3 seasons is going to be the only worthwhile thing we accomplish this season.
I concur - let the young kids play. Hopefully once we have stability - a bunch of players who stay four years - Mason will be good again. Tough to expect miracles after Gilbert and all of last year's freshman left - not to mention the kid ruled ineligible.
I don't know how many of you noticed, but there was a new face sitting on the end of the bench in a warmup suit, between Relvao and Rudy. According to the roster on GoMason.com, he is #21 Andre Ahiagbede, a 6-1 freshman from Centreville, Va.

Look at who has done the most damage against us in these two games: Johnson and Posley, both seniors, both tremendous scorers and guys who can just go get a bucket when their team needs one.
Obviously, we have nobody like that. Our older guys are role players, which is fine except when you're in a 6-point game and you have nobody you can count on to create offense.
Losing the entire sophomore class hasn't helped either, but who knows how well any of those guys would've meshed with Paulsen anyhow?

Several years. How long is it gonna take Mason to get to .500 in A-10 play? Dumb question perhaps. Feels a long way away.
