AJ played only 3 min and Dp was asked about it during the press conference. His explanation was the rest of the guys were in a good rhythm. Isn't that position in which AJ plays one that needs developing? So why not play him more ?was he hurt? Just a thought in case anyone had time for constructive discussion

He was hurt on a play, a really poor decision where he tried to plow through two defenders and slam the ball over them and wound up on the ground writhing in pain (after being called for a charge). I think Paulsen was trying to reassure us that AJ will be fine and the injury wasn't serious, but he also did say AJ didn't look quite right when they put him back in and since the other guys were playing really well together he didn't see any reason to force AJ onto the floor.

When AJ fell on his shoulder (I'm assuming), he writhed on the floor a bit before being helped out to his feet by the trainer. It looked more serious than it turned out. So my sense is that he was shaken by it. I didn't see the warm ups for the second half to see if AJ participated as usual. I was a bit surprised to see him play in the second half.

Calixte picked up 3 fouls early in the second half and AJ substituted in for him. But rather quickly he had Jaire come back in. Can't remember if Morgan St. went to the zone at that point and we needed our most reliable 3 pt shooter in the game or not.

Bottom line--I'm not sure of why he didn't get more time, but given the results of the game, it's hard to argue.
