Yeah it’s weird, first time in years that I’ve been in nova, could go to the game, but am choosing not to. ESPN+ it is.

It kills me. There’s no plan. I’ve seen us run the Oduro ball screen handoff offense on 50% of our possessions while the other three guys on the court just stare and don’t move an inch.

St Joes has figured out that if you deny the handoffs and lazy passes at the top of the key, we are totally incapable of even pretending to run an offense. We totally vacate the post on offense and allow that defense to just keep extending out further and further.

Our lack of fundamentals for a veteran team is astounding. We go through the motions with our screens, passes and FTs, and we constantly settle for mid-range shots. I’d guess that 6 of our 7 turnovers are unforced. Thankfully, we’re playing a bad team that has allowed us to keep it close.

If I’m the Patriot Club/ticket sales staff/Learfield staff, etc. I am absolutely terrified if Paulsen is retained. A couple thousand people have learned that they can watch this product on the couch, and change the channel whenever they want to. It’s a fear that many across the industry share. You better give fans a reason to show up, because they have plenty of reasons not to.

Doesn’t matter if every starter transfers. We need to start over. Hewitt and now DP have set this program back too far for anything other than a complete rebuild.

Def much better than last time, more of a refresh is than a complete tear down. But will see what happens with transfers.
