Rich Barron was in the house for the Tulane game, cheering hard for Mason.

Going into this game, Tulane was averaging about 80 pts per game, shooting 47% overall and 31% from 3. Against us, they scored 56 pts, shooting 34% overall and 11% from 3. Listening to the game, Bill credited Polite with a strong defensive game on Cook and Coach Simpkins appeared to concur in the postgame. That would be quite a positive development should that continue and it not just being due to a bad game from Cook after a week's layoff.

Although we were outscored 15-12 on points from turnovers, that doesn't appear to be as bad as a -9 in turnover differential might have been. Perhaps with so many offensive fouls and just throwing the ball out of bounds, we didn't have too many live-ball turnovers which often lead to run-outs. Indeed, we outscored Tulane 20-13 in fast breaks.

IMO, the Green Wave logo has character and is retro - been around so long that it's somehow cool again, like high-waisted jeans, plaid flannel, or shaggy hair.
