Depending on beer specials, I may be Arm & Hammered, maybe I'll get Oral-B from a masonette, who knows. I just want to brush off last years failures and look forward to Paulsen taking us to the Crest of success. Hope our team is wearing the green uni's, they look aquaFresh.

Worst case scenario, Mason by 6. Best case, the team responds with a titanic defensive effort and an NCAA record 42 assists that results in the first shut out in NCAA men's history. Mason 95 - Colgate 0. Shevon has 38 rebounds. I'm guessing 4,500 for the first crowd.

I think your second scenario is a little bit outside what we can expect as a best case.

Well well well.....

My self imposed sabbatical from here is now over as the Paulsen era now really begins.

I look forward to listening to Bill Rohland actually talk about real basketball instead of having to make sh*t up about what he was seeing the past 4 years.

“I didn’t believe in team motivation. I believe in getting a team prepared so it knows it will have the necessary confidence when it steps on the field and be prepared to play a good game.”– Tom Landry

Here's to making that a reality.....

Patriot League Predictions from their media day: Colgate picked next-to-last (sound familiar!).

http://www.patriotleague.org/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/102215aab.html

"Colgate (16-17, 12-6 PL) had a breakthrough season in 2014-15, but to do it again the Raiders will have to replace the senior core of Damon Sherman-Newsome, Ethan Jacobs, Luke Roh and Matt McMullen that accounted for 46.6 of the team's 66.0 points per game. Five of the top six scorers are gone, but Austin Tillotson (10.7 ppg) returns for his senior season at point guard."

Don't know if it was Paulsen or Hewitt who scheduled this game. But of all of the 351+ teams in the country, this might well be the best matchup for DP's opening game. Easy game vs a very inexperienced team - but one that had a very good record last year. Also a team that has no real center. Also DP knows what Langel wants to do offensively and defensively. True, there is knowledge on the other side as well - but with completely new and different personnel, I don't think that GMU will resemble Bucknell very closely.

Pretty sure it was DP who scheduled Colgate. He mentioned early on that the out of conference scheduling was in a shambles and much work had to be done putting it together. We haven't played many Patriot league teams, other than Bucknell, in recent years.

Did anyone hear anything through the grapevine about how the scrimmage at Rutgers went? Would be nice to hear we were competitive. I'll be at the game on Friday, so glad to be free from Blewitt era.
