when I clicked on the site for tickets, the cheapest were going for $34, not $20. What up with that? Would they be cheaper at the door?

Booo! It's one thing to pay $34 to see and hear the Green Machine and another to watch just a WNBA game that can be seen on ESPN2!

Must be they're thinking a sellout crowd.

I would rather pay 34 dollars to get a root canal than watch a WNBA game live without the green machine being present. Reminds me of an SAE rush party. Just a lot of people standing around without much interaction.

From what I've heard it is a sellout (but there are probably resale tix on ticketmaster). The “Green Machine,” Mason’s nationally recognized pep band led by Doc Nix, is scheduled to perform at Wednesday’s game and the Patriots’ women’s basketball and women’s lacrosse teams are expected to be in attendance. There are still tickets available for Game 3 and Game 4 on Friday (if necessary) starting around $35. On-site parking is available free of charge. For anyone relying on Metro to get to the game, the team will provide complimentary round-trip shuttle service between the Vienna Metro station and EagleBank Arena.

oops....washington post now says the Green Machine will be cheering, but not playing at the game. Was that in the original link or did they correct it later?

Tickets were offered to Green Machine members after they figured out they couldn’t work out the logistics for them as a group in the stands.

Glad that they got tickets. But clearly (now watching on tv) the atmosphere suffers without the Green Machine playing and not just cheering. Not sure the cause-and-effect, but right now the Mystics are being badly outplayed with a minute left in the first half.

Unfortunately it looks like there won't be a Game 4... that 2nd quarter did them in. Still, great season by the Mystics

I am really glad I went, great atmosphere! Premium seats with tables replaced the student section bleachers. Mason should consider doing this, makes the arena feel fuller. The students could just sit on the other side with the band, or in the rafters.

Only black eye for Mason was the traffic. I've never in 20+ years seen it like that. Didn't help that University Mall and the lights on Braddock outside of the mall were out of power. Took me 90 minutes to make what is normally a 25 minute trip in traffic.

That said great atmosphere and fun game. I think Mason should invest in a big, inflatable Patriot costume. Those things are hilarious. Wall, Beal, good chunk of our team, Auriemma and other celebs didn't hurt either.

I think the traffic getting into the game was significantly worsened by the power outage, which happened right around the time people were showing up. Since the traffic light was out, there were lines of cars outside Brions and all throughout the Umall parking lot - never seen that before. Got some cool photos inside of a completely dark Brion's though!

Agreed on the inflatables - they were hilarious.

Mystics did cut a huge lead to 5 or so late in the 4th, but their poor shooting and defense did them in.
