Dave Paulsen

George Mason Patriots: Dave Paulsen

Career record: 386-211 in 21 seasons at St. Lawrence (1994-97), Le Moyne (1997-2000), Williams (2000-08) and Bucknell (2008-15).

George Mason missed on a few candidates, including UC Irvine's Russell Turner, but eventually did a nice job landing Paulsen, who went to a pair of NCAA tourneys and a pair of NITs in his seven seasons at Bucknell. The guy can coach.

Grade: B+

Per his Bucknell bio, Paulsen had 377 victories through the 2013-14 season - see http://www.bucknellbison.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=32100&ATCLID=209044535. Add 19 victories this season, for a career total of 396 wins.

It's been driving me crazy who Paulsen reminds me of, and it then it hit me that he looks like the fire chief on "Rescue Me."

Bolded, italicized, and underlined by me!!!!!! (Couldn't find a way to make the font larger!). I remember someone telling me in Larranaga's first year something he heard from a knowledgeable sportswriter, " this guy is the real deal"!

What's the point of this post? I have been just as negative (if not most negative) towards Hewitt, bitched and moaned for four years. But have not stopped to call out people who supported it. Its time to move forward.

The point is me busting PiKap's balls. I've done it before and he's done it in return and nobody takes offense.

Except you apparently.

Relax Francis.

Hey I will admit it - I had talked to TOC and at the time - the beginning - it seemed reasonable. However, follow-up conversations with him and others involved made me skeptical. So I admit it - I was wrong. Mea Culpa - Perdona me

I was wrong. However, I was right on how Coach L left and that it was not all TOCs fault - there was touchiness from his part.

But I was too optimistic about Hewitt at the start.

Ayight?

Quentin is good people. I can take some ball busting - shit I have been married for 20 years to hot blooded latin woman. I have scar tissue thicker than some snow falls.

But bottom line Quentin was right - I was looking at things way too optimistically at the beginning. However, as objective observations and results came in - I realized I was wrong.

So I am compensating by having a borderline inappropriate man crush over Paulsen.

No harm no foul.
