You take away from Corey by talking about the deficiency of a teammate. Calling out the deficiency of Marquise in a discussion about Corey is unnecessary.
Want to light a fire in Moore...do it in practice. In a meeting, whatever.
What Hewitt could have said was something "Corey is a fantastic vocal leader and I hope some of our underclassmen can learn from him."
From my experience as a manager ...a real leader will take his people to task internally, take responsibility personally, but be united and positive externally, ie the media.
It does always seem Hewitt like to subtly put blame on anyone else but himself.
And to add to that, think about your coworkers:
There are those that make excuses and/or blame others. They never seem to improve
There are the others who take ownership of their and their teams work. They are introspective and improve over time
