In the era when scholarships mattered, teams were limited to how many scholarships players they could have on one team.

Are there any limitations as to how many paid players you have on a team or will the big schools simply over recruit on purpose in order to keep them from going to the competition?
I believe the number of scholarships goes away and they will limit the number of players on the roster. In the case of basketball, I believe it is 15.

GIVING DAY 2023
i decided to do something different this season
Last month I went to Day 2 of the Annual Catholic U Christmas Tournament
Catholic U is Div 3
Classes were not in session, so the attendance was sparse
Tournament won by St. Johns of Minnesota
i hope to go see another game when the students are in session

This week i plan on seeing Division 3 Gallaudet on Thursday night
I live very close to Gallaudet, their home games are fun.

I used to follow high school basketball a lot. Went to tons of games. The atmosphere in those gyms was electric, and being so close to the court and players was great fun.

i believe that NIL collectives will continue to exist for
1) Universities with an ultra-rich donor base for whom the tax deduction doesn't matter; and
2) Universities whose revenue would put them above the $20+m threshold

granted there may only be a handful of these
Fedex / Fred Smith and Memphis
Nike / Phil Knight and Oregon
others?
Arkansas - tyson, walmart, jerry jones
Auburn - Yellawood
Michigan - portnoy and others
Miami - Coke dealers/cartels

Notice you left Ole Miss and rascist plantation donors off the list Brett! ;)
LMAO i did leave my Rebels off, but they're collective based. Largest donor would be RealTree probably, hence why they got their own themed helmets.

Texas A&M, otherwise known as ATM, has a ton of individual money donors. Same with UT. Gary Condron gave 22.5 mil to UF as well
