Going on nearly 2 weeks since the job opened up....starting to get real nervous....

I have a different prediction.

Now that Murray State's season is over, Edwards will make an official offer to Prohm and invite him to do the campus tour. Prohm will do the whole nine yards, but won't agree to a deal because of all the other openings out there ... notably, Tennessee.

Then Edwards will offer a 5-year deal worth $550,000 annually to Moten, who will accept the more than 100 percent salary increase and an opportunity to coach in the A-10.

I give it a week, tops.

This is exactly the type of decision that should be rushed - esp. while the post-season tournaments are going on.

That worked out really well last time after all.

I am hearing rumors that since all other good candidates have been snatched up by bigger programs, Mason is in contract negotiations with Hewitt.

I'm not gonna lie, Hugh, there is a good chance that might happen. While I might not agree with those like Brian who boycotted the program due to our coach, I more than understand why they did it to send a message. My main issue is people like P8 who only support us when we are winning. A bandwagon fan is not a fan in my book.

Haha, touche. I stand by the comparison in that I do prefer a younger coach over an older coach. I just wish the younger coach we hired wasn't a car that constantly broke down compared to the older car we used to have that obviously proved to be more reliable. Buyer beware.

I am glad you can see the distinction even if you don't agree. For me it wasn't about winning/losing (in the immediate timeframe), it was about the fact that it was clear that Hewitt was not able to get the job done. It should be clear to those on here and to those who know me in person that I supported Hewitt 100% right up until the point where it became clear to me that he wasn't able to get the job done. For me, that was 2.5 years in. At that point, I felt the AD needed a message.

I will support the new hire 100% as well, through wins and losses, until he shows me he is not able to get the job done. Hopefully it never gets to that point.

I'm fortunate that I had two kids in the last two and a half years that kept me more than busy. Allowed me to not have as much time to be pissed off.
