Don't think I've seen Monmouth's latest BCS conquest here. They beat USC over the weekend.

Wins over UCLA, ND and USC so far. Only losses are to Dayton and USC (1st of 2 against the Trojans) Quite a schedule.

Coached by my hometown hero King Rice. Never met the hype as a player at UNC and from what I understand became a fan least favorite.

Seems to have a good team in his 5th year there. Not a huge fan of the guy from stories I've heard and the couple of times I've seen him in action off the court, but appears he can coach.

They come and play Georgetown on the 15th. Rice seems like he had some tough times but cleaned himself up a bit and has definitely shown he can turn around a program. He is probably going to be in the next "highly sought after coach" group.

The team he has is very good, very good guard play and they know how to play good defense as well.

I talked to King Rice when they played in Fairfax in the pre-season NIT a few years ago. He couldn't have been nicer, especially after I told him I played in a youth game at halftime of a high school game his school (Binghamton) suffered their first loss of the year at my school (Vestal). Binghamton was ranked #1 in NY and ranked nationally. I thought I'd get just a minute to talk to him but he wanted to keep chatting about upstate NY.
