Nick Faust, Roddy Peters, and Shaquille Cleare are all transferring from Maryland. And the list keeps growing, and growing....
I would gladly take any of those three, especially Faust.Nick Faust, Roddy Peters, and Shaquille Cleare are all transferring from Maryland. And the list keeps growing, and growing....

Any chance John Crosby commits to Mason? He was suppose to commit to Mason like 4 months ago but I guess he wanted to wait for more/ better offers?!?! A lot of the recruits that have gotten offers from Mason have rejected Mason and committed to other schools. At this point in the year the chances of landing a gem recruit whether its a freshman or a transfer is starting to dwindle.
They are definitely still in the mix for him, hope he comes to his senses!
At least one of the ex-Terps is probably gonna wind up at GW.
Lonergan has done well with transfers, and they could use Peters in their backcourt along with McDonald and Savage.

You really think a new AD hired by our President is going to be a Hewitt fan?
Why would any transfer with options choose to sign with Mason at this point?
Why? Because we're finally rid of all those Larranaga recruits that were holding us back. Paul Ball 2.0 is a go - full speed ahead and Run the System!
Welcome to the boards.
Some of us will occasionally use sarcasm to illustrate a point. Keep an eye out for it, sometimes it's not clearly labeled as such.
I don't think the recruits from Larranaga was that big of a problem. Bryon Allen and Sherrod Wright both did the best they could to play well under Hewitt's system. It was the other players who did not play up to thier potential and still had trouble fitting into Hewitt's system. The hope here is that moving to the A10 will force Mason to start recruiting more athletic players. Then again when Mason was still in the CAA, including a super weak CAA from last season, we still could not make a bid into a NIT or NCAA. Which is why many of us including myself still have doubts having higher talent will fix the issue.
In my opinion Hewitt should still keep the basic foundation of his system but make some tweaks to it. Throughout the season, I would often see 3 or 4 players on the court who don't have the ball stand around and depend on the ball handler to single handedly do something. As a result Byron Allen or Sherrod Wright will often do too much and turnover the ball. This stagnation is a problem I have with Hewitt's system. The players without the ball aren't doing much to create a better situation for themselves or for the ball handler to get better shots.
I like getting a pass into the big man. I think every guard looks for his bigs to make the game a little easier for them up top. When you don't pass into the post, the defense targets the guards with full attention. And thus you have 5 guys playing defense straight up daring our 5 guys to do something, which they did, and the results were many many losses. Hopefully, next year Royal can be a low post threat and loosen it up for the guards up top.
I saw same issue watching ga tech games. If our guards learned how to make an entry pass maybe. There were a lot of times our post players got position but our guards "couldn't get it to him" for one reason or another. I think hesitation to make the pass has been a major issue in general. How often did you see Holloway get open off a screen or a curl and no one got him the ball in time?
Devonte Graham was just let out of his LOI from App. State. Highly touted 2014 PG. No way we sign him, sounds like some big boys will be after his services.
