This tournament is creating a lot of buzz for young coaches who can get a win. The Saint Peter's coach could be ready to move up to one of the A10 openings. Doubtful he would get a P6 job with just one win, but maybe with a Sweet 16 appearance.
What was Cox making?
He’s not taking another job until Willard decides if he’s staying at Seton Hall.Rumors of Holloway being a UMass target
Florida hiring USF coach Todd Golden
I am not sure this is good news for us. If McMahon turns down Mizzou, English might be next in line. That is very frustrating news to many of our fans. There is now a growing sense that the top Mizzou target is Matt McMahon. If Murray State beats Saint Peter's and there is still quiet on the Mizzou coaching front then it becomes more obvious that is indeed the case.
Probably a good news update for you all and the hopes of retaining Kim English. We'll see how it plays out though.
Always get the guy you think is going to be successful....Handle the fallout when it comes. Just ask all of the successful mid-majors.I sense a lot of insecurity from some Mizzou fans. I am reading quite a few say, "If Kimmie is successful, he will never leave us. If another guy is successful, they will leave us for a better program." Kind of sad that this once proud program has been reduced to that.
Per Pete Thamel, Cleveland State HC Dennis Gates has emerged as the leading candidate for the Missouri job. The deal isn’t done but there is mutual interest and they’re working on it.
Great news for Mason if that happens.
