Pearl would absolutely crush it at a place like Louisville. He took D2 Southern Indiana to a Nat'l Championship, built Milwaukee into a Top 25 program, had Tennessee ranked #1 nationally at one point, and currently has Auburn ranked #1.

He also left Illinois w/sanctions as an Asst. Coach. He was fired by Tennessee for lying to the NCAA and his AD and given a 3-year show-cause. And his Auburn program was named in the FBI investigation re: paying players.

Mason’s program was a dumpster fire when Paulsen arrived - and that comparison is an insult to dumpster fires.

While he did not bring the program back to NCAA or NIT tournament, he did bring the program back to respectability.

His success at Williams and Bucknell is unquestioned.
