GIVING DAY 2023
Current Mason Assistant Coach Louis Hinnant on his Instagram Story: "Can't wait" and "We will be ready!"

On his Instagram story, he showed clips of his time at Boston College where he played against Duke and there was a fight

That was the 2006 ACC Championship game! Coach Louis scored 20 points in that game as BC almooooost pulled the 7 over 1 upset.

I'm gonna try to make it to some away games this season. Does GMU sell discount tickets in the visitor section to get folks out to those games or does everyone just buy em off Ticketmaster?

It depends. My guess is they’ll get a small allotment for duke and the tickets will be given based on priority points.

I didn't have any trouble scoring two tickets in '81. Just sayin'.

This was more of a general question, say for a vcu, Richmond, or gw game. Making it down for Duke would be dope too. I know they always sell out, so there's probably no need for promotion for that particular game. Just curious what folks recommend. I don't know the secret handshake for priority points though.

Gotcha. Priority points is a system based on giving that they have setup Based on how long and how much you’ve donated. https://gomason.com/sports/2016/10/19/priority-points

Tickets generally vary by the away school since they distribute and Mason sometimes doesn’t know until a week before on it. Usually the popular ones like you mentioned they have a bit more notice and send out an email.

feel free to dm me if you have other questions.

I would assume, until the school notifies you otherwise, that you will not be able to get decent tickets from the Mason allotment from the home school for marquee away games like Duke.

For those games, the Mason fans you see on tv/behind the team bench typically come from the coach/player allotment - not what the home team is making available to the visiting school. Those tickets will typically be crap nosebleeds that you can find better options on the resale market.

I travel to a lot of these games, and I typically find a resale ticket from a season ticket holder who has zero interest in the Tuesday night matchup vs CM or whoever. And I always check with the ticket office and PC first.

Totally different for conference away games, and possibly for home/home agreements.

Yes. I would think you should be able to find seats for the CM game from some disinterested dookies.
