We never seem to have been able to stop their drives or slow down Fla St's fast pace. Made a valiant attempt through 3 quarters but the Seminoles were relentless and also got some wide open 3s.

Nevertheless, it was a great year! Maybe we could model Richmond's experience, get back to the NCAAs, and win a game there for the first time.

And 3 juniors as the most experienced players.

Women's portal opens today with a 30 day window to enter, just like Men's portal, just offset by one day.

Ugh, I was expecting her to be a key contributor next year. Hopefully she is just testing waters and we can keep her. Also my son's favorite player since she has same number as Jalen - I think I'm going to have to have him write letters to both of them with pictures he has taken with them, begging them to stay.

but starting with a core of Walton and Harris, and the right 3 players from the portal, and development of depth from the current roster and we can contend again

I have no idea what the women's NIL looks like in general and at GMU
My only data point is that Cameron Brinks got $350k for her last year at Stanford

But CVBL did recruit the Hampton area hard and did coach at an HBCU,
hopefully that gives us a leg up on the women from Norfolk State (assuming the current coach does not take her to Auburn with him), as well as the Morgan State player

Hopefully there is a similar pattern among female players wanting to come back to the DMV to play and finish their careers, just like we have seen on the male side.

I'd look at Maryland as the biggest competitor, and GWU just bought on a new coach, But in any case, there are only 3-5 slots per team and hopefully there is enough talent to go all the way around
