In general, the P6 schools got richer and the non-P6 schools got poorer. A-10 schools lost a lot. Mason lost a lot. Did we trade up or down? Too soon to tell.

Any more in depth on non -P6 getting poorer? Because I think both got richer. Also Tre Mitchell Jordan and kolek are the only real losses in A10 and st joes, mason, Dayton and lasalle have greatly benefited by the portal. I mean Dayton got an an SEC kid posting a double double for crying out loud.

It’s impossible to tell what is going to happen because a lot of what the A10 lost would have been lost anyway (Fatts, Grady, Collins, AJ, Greene, etc.) would have finished their eligibility.

I think we have three more years of chaos until things settle into what they will look like going forward and then another 5 years to be able to say if this was a good thing or a bad thing.

Agreed but it’s already certain Mason is in a better place than it was a month ago by hiring a coach who can attract and connect with players. The era of hiring middle-aged white guys to yell and scream at kids is over and not a moment too soon...

Davidson does not allow 5th year players. They were gone regardless of any transfer rule or covid exemption. I agree
