In continuation of my effort to return to getting some enjoyment out of this community:

What is your personal favorite memory that directly involves Mason basketball ("directly" means Jollay having a threesome, in a polar bear suit, inside the Patriot Center, during a game is fair. But having an illicit affair with ACW off campus is not)?

One rule: you may say "beating UConn" but if you do, you must also post your second favorite.

Beating UConn, sherrods buzzer beater

(And having classes with the infamous acw, who somehow always found his way to be annoying and in my face)

we need to pace ourselves. Its not even St Patrick's Day and we have two threads that are perfect for July. Interesting threads, but for later in the year, IMO.

it’s true - by April we will discuss retiring numbers and football at this rate

There's always the annual football thread. We can get that one fired up early.

One of my favorite memories was going to see a fellow alum who had moved to Philly, eating way too much food and drinking way too much beer and going to the DAC to watch Mason win a squeaker against Drexel. Decent Mason contingent there. We posted up behind the bench right next to the DAC Pack and went back and forth between them all game long and left victorious.

Another one was going to the Final Four banner raising ceremony against Wichita State and seeing the massive crowd there that day and being excited about the future of the program. We ultimately lost that game, but it was a great atmosphere and electric and both teams played hard and Kyle Visser with all those damn spin moves to the basket in the second half that turned the game over to them.

Underrated memory

beating uncw in feb 2006 to take over first place in the caa. Rushing the court after the game with 20 others was fun too because why the f not.

That was a crazy game. By far the best game that I experienced in EBA in terms of loudness and rowdiness.

I don’t remember it being very full, but I remember people being into it with a lot on the line (First place obviously).

That whole season was really something at home no matter who Mason played. By the time February 1 hit you just knew something was going on...

Got a new memory: my daughter spent this entire game against Fordham creating a Mason sign for me (Has a big G with stars and color stripes on it and it says "We vote for George Mason"), taped it to a straw so I could wave it around.
That is now one of my favorite memories. What a great memory!
