Still have 5 scholarships open.

PG: Dinkins, Polite
SG: Maddox
SF: Billups, Ball
PF:
C: Henry, Kelly, P. Oduro

Total: 8

Open: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13

One starting spot open (for Hall hopefully). 4 bench spots left.

(also know there is some flexibility with the player positions).

((This is also not a projected depth chart))

Maddox starts for sure as will Polite. I wouldn't say any other slots are set until we know who else gets signed.

It’s possible Skinn starts two bigs, which is why he’s hosting another big this weekend. It’s also possible he’s looking to add a big because P. Oduro isn’t exactly someone you’d want to count on if one or more bigs get into foul trouble.

And while I don’t like the idea of starting someone who is under 6’6 as a 4, it’s also possible Dinkins and Polite both start.

I still think the 5th starter isn’t on the roster yet.

Sounds like he'll be done with his studies in the fall next year. I guess that means he'll be locked in on hoops going into conference play.

He's certainly upped his game. And at the right time too!

I would presume that he'll still be taking classes in the spring and beginning a graduate program. Certainly he needs to be enrolled as a Mason student in a degree program in order to be eligible to play.

My sense is that he always is locked in on hoops.

Is that a condition of the scholarship that you have to be enrolled in classes both semesters?

Yes, obviously he's playing high level basketball, but at some point you have to balance your time with academics. I say this out of complete ignorance though lol. I have no idea what it's like to be a student athlete. I know they get accommodations to help them balance their workload, but to what extent I have no idea.
