GIVING DAY 2023
I can't copy exact details from twitter from work, but it appears to spur up some interest and interaction on twitter, MasonMBB has coined this week #otisweek and allows us to have a Q and A with Otis utilizing that hashtag. They'll be doing other players throughout the offseason it appears.

I think that is pretty cool and very innovative.

Even if you dont' have an account, I encourage you to check out the hashtag #otisweek

Random Stat. Otis Livingston has 216 assists through his first 2 years at GMU.

This puts him on pace to finish 2nd all time in the history of the program.

He would need to average ~5.6 assists (depending on games played) for the rest of his career to finish in first.

Assuming no significant time lost to injury, I'm inclined to take the over. Jaire alone will make enough shots to get O 3-4 assists per game. Only ? for me is that Dave's system relies on sharing the ball so our PG doesn't always make last pass that leads to a basket.

Kind of wild when you consider what a poor 3-point shooting team we've been his first two years, in both percentage and volume. He could easily have another assist or two per game on catch-and-shoot threes if that was something we were good at doing. Then it gets even more impressive when you consider that half our offense last year was Marquise or Jalen iso'd, which aren't assist opportunities.

Think I posted this elsewhere but he's also got 868 career points through two seasons. He's a shoe-in for 1500 and probably gets to 2,000 barring injury.

He's also racked up 61 steals. He's got an outside shot to finish his career with some crazy accumulations like 2,000 points, 500 assists, and 150 steals.

I feel compelled to remind everyone that until Mason hired DP, Otis' best offer was from Fairleigh Dickinson.

Recruiting. A very inexact science.

In Paulsen I trust. He'll find us a PG, or he might already be here in Greene.

Javon Greene of Henry County may be the most dangerous player in the AAAA bracket. We’ve seen him explode for 57 in a game this season against Langston Hughes. He’s helped push Henry County over the top several times this year. The future George Mason guard just continues to get better and better.
