I'm thinking Keatts if they can't get bigger names. Worry about coaching merry-go-round. Maybe we don't want to go to the sweet 16 yet!

Keatts would be a great hire for NCSU. I'm sure they would like to stay away from the ex 'Pack-guard hire (see Sidney Lowe). What Keatts has done at UNCW is amazing. He actually can do better that State if he's patient.

Horrible in game coach. My cousin is a starter and says he is nice guy. Dresses nice, has alot of money, wears weird ties etc? Sound familiar?

They have done okay this year mainly bc of John Collins. Not much doing in recruiting though. They swore they had Giles commiting, but he picked Duke. They do have Randolph Childress' son this year, but he isnt like his dad, yet. Cousin Dino is typical Euro player. Shoots three's and.......thats it. If Collins goes to NBA, they are doomed again.

I'm in RDU and NC State is the red-headed stepchild. But Wake is even behind them, as you point out.

The only way Archie takes the NC State job (and yes, I realize he is an alum) is if his wife wants to get back closer to home. My guess is Archie is waiting for a bigger job.

I disagree. Indiana AND Ohio State may be opening up. Both better gigs than NC State. And he knows how to recruit the midwest (he was an assistant at Ohio State as well). People also fail to realize that Archie is a disciple of Herb Sendek. The Sendek era didn't end too well at State.

If it happens, awesome. It'll make NC State relevant again. And it means I can see some damn good basketball live (easier to get NC State tickets than Duke/UNC, as you can imagine.)

It's not even that you're the 3rd team in your state, you're the 3rd team in your own backyard. As was stated above, as long as Williams and K are around, NC State is a distant afterthought. I believe Miller would be much better served waiting on Ohio St or Indiana to open up.
