OT: Durant to the Warriors

WTF?

Durant is doing what LeBron was maligned for. Jumping ship to a stacked team just to gt a couple of rings before he retires.

Even if he wins, he won't be the best player on the team. He may not even the be the second best player on the team.

Thoughts?

I can't fault the guy for wanting to win a championship and I don't think he cares where he ranks on the team. It was a smarter move for sure than coming to Washington, even though the Wiz now have a legitimate coach in Scott Brooks.

IMO, he'll be the best player on the team, but it won't be "his" team. I always thought LeBron got unfairly killed for it, so I won't judge Durant for it either. If a guy wants to win, i'll never kill him for it.

I'm just happy he's stayed in the Western Conference. That way the Wizards won't have to face him until the NBA Finals. #delusionalDCfan

I don't begrudge him for leaving. That is completely his right. No reason the Thunder can't do the same next summer and get Curry. Well, there's actually a bunch of reasons, but you know what I mean.

Durant is doing what LeBron was maligned for.

I think LeBron was more aligned for "The Decision" and manner in which he bailed on his hometown team then he has been for looking to go to a contender and win championships.

If the NBA wants to get rid of super teams, then keep the cap but eliminate the ceiling on individual contracts.
